I know it isn’t exactly a new game. Exteel has been around for a short while, but it is definitely a game worthy of praise. The Armored Core series was always one of my favorite franchises, not just because of the mechs but because of the customization of those mechs and the game play. The only fault the Armored Cores had was the lack of online game play (albeit 4 does). Now take the Armored Core games, take out the missions, throw in a crap ton of new weapons, faster game play and you have Exteel! And it is totally free to play!

Here is the Exteel website’s description of the game:

“Exteel is an online 3rd person shooter where players take giant customized mechs into combat to compete for supremacy against other players.

The game features easily accessible gameplay and a blend of high-speed tactics and team-based strategy. The mechs are highly customizable, and can select from a large arsenal of deadly weapons. Mechs can also select special maneuvers that allow them to deliver devastating attack combinations inspired by the wildest Hong Kong cinema action.”

So if you are into mech combat at an exhilarating pace head on over to the homepage and signup for the game. Exteel is most certainly a game you don’t run across that often.
