Logitech’s DiNovo Keyboard Ships Today

Posted by Damon on March 13, 2008

One of my favorite peripheral making companies, Logitech, had has a product I have been keeping an eye on for a while now and it is finally shipping today! The DiNovo Mini is a wireless Bluetooth mini keyboard that was built with media center PCs in mind. Now don’t get me wrong, this keyboard isn’t meant to replace your media center remote for watching TV or movies but it will add some functionality to your media center that you probably don’t use because of the restrictions of a regular remote control. As a bonus feature, the DiNovo Mini can be paired with your Playstation 3 as a full keyboard. You can pick one up today at your local shop today for the reasonable price of $150. Brando does it again

Posted by Damon on March 10, 2008

The lovely folks over at Brando are known for having unique peripherals of all sorts for everything under the sun. This is the story of one of them. It would appear that Bando has a badass keyboard with a built in touchpad for only $57, yes, you heard right, only $57! It has 99 key layout and is wireless which makes this keyboard perfect for a Windows Media Center PC. You can sit back on your couch and surf the web or navigate your Media Center without the problem of wires or multiple interface devices. Now don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a keyboard I would image you would rush to get to enhance your gaming experience but it certain does have a niche in the pc community that sets it apart. Get crippling revenge on your mouse hand in style

Posted by Damon on March 8, 2008

asus-ms71-2.jpg

I’m not sure what to think of this one, an anti-ergonomic mouse with a gimmick. You got it, that thing in the pic above is the Asus MS71 wireless mouse with a built in thumbdrive of an undisclosed storage size. The concept behind this device is a good one but the execution needs a little bit of work. On this guy here the bottom of it comes off and you have a Lego-looking like thumb drive that better house at least 4 GB to even be remotely worth the using this Carpal Tunnel giving device. Why they couldn’t simply make a normal sized mouse with a slide out thumb drive or something of the sort that consumers would actually like is beyond me, I guess someone at Asus has a taste for rectangles. On a brighter note, no release date or price as of yet but if you want to head over and read the original article, which only has a couple more images, then click here.

This is a project that I have been following for some time now because it is something that should have been done long ago. Carlos Owens has been working on a fully functional mech for a few years now. This man lives in Alaska and has a full time job but is still finding time to work on this project, he calls it the Neo-Mech. I can’t wait to see this thing when it is finished! Video and website after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »
